Memorials Register

The Register is a list of approximately 1650 men and women of the armed forces, and civilians who lost their lives through enemy action in the 20th century and who were from, or died on, Sheppey, and are remembered on Island Memorials and graves.

Also included are those who have no memorial or known resting place but have been mentioned in various records – Army, Navy and Air Force Lists, Commonwealth War Graves Commission, Local Paper Archives, National Archives and various web-based sources.

To see a mini biography for each person listed, visit the Eastchurch Aviation Museum where the Register is available for free viewing and a free copy of your chosen details can be printed.
